A method with a track record

From an Osaka classroom to companies across Japan

In the 1990s, a teacher named Takashi Harada took the lowest-ranked school of 380 in Osaka and asked every student to map their life onto a single grid. Within three years they were national champions. The same approach later spread through Japanese business - and inspired the app you're looking at.

The Open Window 64

Your whole life, compartmentalised on one page

The chart breaks everything you're juggling into eight areas and 64 cells - each one a goal or a category - so it all has a place and nothing important gets lost.

Put what matters most in the middle - your headline goal, or simply the life you're building toward.

Eight pillars around it - the major areas of your life: health, work, relationships, growth, whatever matters to you.

Fill the 64 cells

Each cell is a goal or a category. Compartmentalise everything on your mind until it finally has a home.

One connected system

Goals, tasks and notes - finally in the same place

Every cell on your chart opens into a real to-do list and markdown notes. Planning and doing stop living in separate apps.

Tasks that belong to a goal or area

Behind every square is a focused to-do list. Add a task and it's already filed under the goal or category it belongs to - so your day always points somewhere that matters. Drag to reorder, nest sub-tasks, mark progress. Looking for a free Todoist alternative?
